It may be a little odd that a Canadian Designer would design an american christmas ornament, but really, my inspiration was an american friend. I look at this and I see her.

I stitched this on 32 count ice blue Belfast Linen by Zweigart using sampler threads Buckeye Scarlett and Brandy from The Gentle Art.
Joanne at the 123Stitch website has put this pattern up on her Fun & Free page as a jpeg download so if your interested be sure to check out her site FREEBIE

Well the time has come. My little baby, my youngest breath, my sweet little girl is off to kindergarten.
Her first day was last thursday. And it was with a small group of the kindergarteners. They divide the class up over 3 days so that when everyone is in class together for the first time tomorrow they will be comfortable with a few of the students, as well have learned the classroom rules and such.
So tomorrow is the day, Little Lisa is off to kindergarten, riding the bus for the first time. Jennifer is in grade 1. And she misses kindergarten LOL. Who knew Grade 1 meant you worked?
Well, having time to myself for 3 days of the week means I have time to devote to my designing. That’s right, 3 whole days dedicated solely to designing and stitching.
Of course that didn’t happen last thursday. I spent the entire day zoned out watching Star Trek reruns and Stargate reruns and yes, even a rerun of McGyver.
I didn’t even do dishes!!! Who knew this was so hard.
But tomorrow, once the girlies are on the bus I’m taking my doggies for their morning walk. Enjoy that crisp mountain air (where it’s barely above freezing in the mornings). And come back to my computer recharged and ready to work.
Watch out world I’m coming for you!
