This year Dyan Allaire, the brains and talent behind Kustom Krafts Inc., undertook a major project for her yahoo group. A full scale stitchalong. In the past she has provided her yahoo group with a special pattern before Christmas so we can have a small holiday SAL. This year she decided to let the group have a chance at some brand new patterns that she will be releasing soon. They aren’t available YET but watch for them, they are amazing. I chose to stitch her latest wolf pattern called Howling at the Moon. It’s from the artwork of Kayomi Harai/Applejack Licensing. As you can see by the picture its beautiful.
The SAL officially started February 1st but the response for the stitchalong was so overwhelming and of course I needed a full kit (b/c what can you do when you don’t have an LNS) so I just received mine the other day. Thank you Dyan for making sure it was kitted for me, and for those of you that haven’t purchased a Kustom Kraft kit before, they are worth the money. I highly recommend them. Luckily it came at the most perfect time, spring break started yesterday so I got to stitch for 4 straight hours. 4 hours of nothing but stitching and occasionally telling my girlies where to find things. Of course I did watch a couple of movies at the same time. I watched Pride and Prejudice (the one with Kiera Knightley) and The Lake House. LOVED THEM BOTH. The only downside was that it’s hard to stitch when your sobbing.
So be sure to stop by from time to time and see if I’ve made any progress. I’m relying on the Kustom Kraft groups to keep me motivated and my nose to the needle. I tend to fall in love easily and become distracted. So I’m trying not to look at any new patterns until I have 1 page left. Yep, one page left. Think I can do it? Ha ha ha ha ha.
