I’m so excited to share! Wilma is stitching fast and furious and so far has not only finished all the Snow Blizzard patterns as they come up but also finishes them off! (I take about a year to finish some things off…maybe 2…maybe 5 LOL!)
Here is Wilma’s version of my pattern. Thank you so much for stitching this and having so much fun doing it, you are TERRIFIC!!

LEST WE FORGET…
Today brought my girls first participation in a Remebrance Day Ceremony. They joined Scouts this year as their cub troup were in attendance and laid a wreath on the Cenotaph.
Seeing them out there, along with the veterans, the RCMP in full red uniforms, the Cadets…well it was beyond touching for me. There were people that went to war and survived, those that protect us every day, and then the younger generation in whose shiny innocent faces we can see the future. One day, they may be called to defend and protect.
My proudest mommy moment was as they were marching out, and my girls stopped and took their poppies off and placed them on the Cenotaph. Proud doesn’t describe it. The realization of who they were, and what they were becoming…it was quite overwhelming and at the same time, awe inspiring.

Speaking of forgotten, how could I forget to post a picture of my other design currently available with X’s and Oh’s??
Oh my!
Here is my Black Sheep Sampler. Can you tell I have a love of natural linen? It is my favourite fabric to stitch with. And this pattern has all my favourite colours.
Happy stitching!!! Vivian

Here is a photo of a design I created for use by The Gentle Art Sampler Thread company.
I call it the Forgotten Carrot. This special design came to me through my children, as a lot of my designs do.
Can you imagine? A snow filled day, the air ringing with the sounds of children playing, creating snowfriends here and there. As the day starts to wane, the air start to get colder, the snow starts to fall, frost forms on every available surface and the children scurry inside for warm cups of hot chocolate.
One poor carrot lays forgotten in the snow. It’s winter wish of garnishing a friendly snowman has gone unfulfilled. Nature hears the silent call and decorates the carrot with crystals of ice that sparkle like diamonds. It may be alone, it may be cold, but it will be glorious.

and disappeared. I know it’s been forever since I’ve posted but sometimes life gets in the way doesn’t it? School is in full swing, the bitter cold has arrived, Halloween has come and gone…what’s left? Oh yes Christmas!!!
I’ve been working my day job, working my mommy role, and trying to find free moments to design and stitch. Oh and sleep LOL. Who needs clean dishes anyway right?
Be sure to check back soon for some news on an upcoming design that will be available shortly. Sorry no hints…even if you send me hand dyed threads. Well maybe if you send me two.
Happy stitching, Vivian.
