It’s Friday! Update on challenges
Categories: GeneralEvening everyone, time to see how I did this last week.
1. do Month One of my Border Creek Station mystery quilt (Quilter’s Courtyard).
partially completed - I completed steps 2 - 5 (or B,C,D, and E). I’m working on the cutting for A, I hope to have it finished over the weekend
2. begin my pinwheels…I’m contemplating either using my pinwheels for my dollquilt swap if I find my swappee likes the vintage feel of the pinwheels…or I may end up using pinwheels for my month of my quilting bee. either way I have to give it a try.
didn’t even go near - they are still sitting there. My charm packs still in the packaging. My light fabric still in one big piece.
3. finish my valentine exchange…I’m cross stitching something pink!
partially completed - First I have to admit, I lost the first valentine piece I was working on. It was a Margaret Sherry design and very pink. I was probably 40% finished. I have no clue where the pattern went! I got up off the couch, did some dishes, went back to the couch and my pattern was missing. It’s not like it’s a little piece of paper either as it was published in a calender form. So it’s the whole calender! It can’t have wandered off. So I started something new and I have 3 more rows left of stitching on it and then I can sew it up to finish it off.
My new challenges for the next week are:
1. finish Mone One of the Border Creek Station mystery quilt
2. finish my valentine cross stitch exchange piece
3. work on my zig zag quilt that I started and worked on one weekend in the fall. I think I have one row of zigs and zags done
What will you be doing?

Hi Vivian!
Your calendar is probably hiding with my charted wording paper! I think they planned this. I’m finishing up a birth announcement for my niece’s first baby and want to take it with me when I go visit them in PEI on Friday. I charted out all the birth particulars but who knows where it disappeared to? As soon as I re-do it, I’ll find the other.
Besides that, I have a quilt square started for Monique’s friend who is battling breast cancer.
I’m committing myself to two squares a month through the year for Coles Quilts. Just need to finish up a dragonfly one for January’s two.
Flower Power is my focus for the year - something for me! I’ve got one leaf done so far; just enough to say I started it.
Now to get back to that stitching chair and hopefully finish the birth announcement by bedtime.

You certainly have a full year ahead of you with your personal challenges! Never mind flower power…that thing is quite large!
I hate when I misplace things LOL…where on earth do they go?
